Everything you need to know about SnipNotes
SnipNotes is a Shopify app that helps support and operations teams insert standardized order notes with one click. Instead of retyping the same notes over and over, you create reusable snippets organized by category and insert them directly from the Shopify order page.
Visit the Shopify App Store, search for "SnipNotes," and click "Add app." Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the app on your store. Once installed, you'll see the SnipNotes panel when viewing any order in your Shopify admin.
The SnipNotes panel appears directly on the Shopify order detail page. When you open any order in your Shopify admin, you'll see the SnipNotes section where you can browse your snippet library and insert notes with one click.
Categories let you organize your snippets by type — for example, Calls, Supplier, Shipping, and Refunds. This makes it easy to find the right note quickly when you're working through orders. Categories are available on the Starter plan and above.
Smart variables are placeholders in your snippets that automatically fill in with real order or customer data when you insert a note. For example, you can include the order number, customer name, or shipping address without typing it manually. Smart variables are available on the Pro plan and above.
When you insert a snippet into an order, SnipNotes can automatically add a tag to that order. This helps you track which notes have been applied and filter orders by tag in Shopify. You can configure which tags are applied per snippet.
SnipNotes can send automatic WhatsApp messages to customers when orders are confirmed. You configure your WhatsApp Business API credentials in the app settings, set up your message templates, and the app handles the rest. This feature keeps your customers informed instantly.
Yes. The Starter plan supports 1–2 users, the Pro plan supports up to 5 users, and the Team plan supports unlimited users. All team members share the same snippet library, ensuring consistent communication across your team.
Yes. The Free plan includes up to 10 snippets and basic one-click insertion for a single user. Paid plans start at $4.99/month and include additional features like categories, smart variables, automatic tags, and multi-user support. All paid plans include a 7-day trial.
When you uninstall SnipNotes, your app data (snippets, categories, and configuration) is deleted within 30 days. Order notes that were already inserted into Shopify orders will remain as part of the order history, since they are stored by Shopify.
